[AGBU-YP] Hiking Event @ Malibu Creek State Park

Dear Young Professionals,



On Saturday, June 10, please join the YPs on a beautiful 2-hour hike through Malibu Creek State Park that is fairly flat and easy. There's beautiful scenery, interesting rock formations, and fragrant foliage.  Even thought it does get warm, the oak trees provide ample shade and the stream cools the air. 

 

Malibu Creek State Park is off Las Virgines Road near Mullholand. Exit Las Virgines Road from the 101 Freeway and head south towards Malibu.  As soon as you pass Mullholland, the entrance to the park will be on your right.  The park charges an $8 entry fee per vehicle.  We strongly encourage carpooling.  The parking area is divided into three sections.  The section furthest from the entrance is reserved for overnight campers.  Park in the second section and look for people wearing "AGBU YP" T-shirts.  

 

Plan to arrive between 9:00 and 9:15 a.m.   If everyone who RSVPed arrives by 9:15, we will start the hike early.  Otherwise, the hike will start promptly at 9:30 even if some people who have RSVPed have not arrived.  

 

Don't forget your hiking shoes and at least 20 ounces of drinking water.
