New Series of SALSA classes will be held for 8 weeks, every Wednesday night
beginning May 2nd at the AGBU Center in Pasadena with our super dance

In addition to the regular weekly classes, we will have several class field

the Salsa routines learned in the class.
Salsa Events:
We will also be attending various Salsa events throughout the Salsa class
sessions, including the 9th West Coast Salsa Congress in Los Angeles (May 24

Most Salsa events include shows and Salsa dancers from all over the world,
including Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Latin America, and Europe..NO NEED FOR
DICTIONARIES . your suave Salsa moves learned at the AGBU-YP will speak
volumes on the dance floor.breaking all language barriers.
Other Salsa events include Salsa weekend workshops in different cities,

CLASS DETAILS:
We are planning to continue our two levels of Salsa classes (beginner and
intermediate) to accommodate different skill level dancers.
We thank those of you that provided responses to our quick and informal
survey to help improve our Salsa classes.
We have already instituted two of your suggestions, which were faster
rotations, and more time for a practice session with music after teaching of
a new single routine, including changes to improve student dance experience
for both the beginner as well as intermediate levels.
In addition, Michael Soohoo will decide which students need to improve their
dance skill level before participating in the intermediate classes.
The minimum number of basic moves that are taught in the beginner level
class include:
Solo
Couples
The basic
Cumbia
Basic side
Basic side-cross
Right and left pivots
Salsa Box
Closed Basic
Open Basic
Basic Turn
Closed Cross-body
Open Cross-body
Closed Cross-body with a turn
Open Cross-body with a turn
Please note that these are not the only routines that Michael teaches for
the beginner level class.
For those who have taken the classes in the past, we encourage you to take
the classes again for you will learn new routines and hone the old. Michael
teaches new routines every session!
For those of you who have not taken Michael's class, this is your chance to
sign up. Michael teaches not only salsa moves, but he also teaches styling
as well, which is a separate class at other locations. You will get more out
of this class than anywhere else!
